This monofilament offers higher maximum operating and melting temperatures
than the
6-polyamidic SIDLION 6 : Keeping the same elongation, it is tougher
and stiffer with a very good resiliency. It is classified as UL94
V2 flame retardant.
It is mainly used in the textile industry, for the manufacture of
filter fabrics, screen printing fabrics. Other technical applications
of SIDLION 6.6 are hook and loop fasteners (Velcro ® strips) and
zips. It can be used in contact with food (FDA). |
